Do I need an intelligent metering system (smart meter) in order to use the dynamic tariff?

Do I need an intelligent metering system (smart meter) in order to use the dynamic tariff?

No. Our tariff generally supports all common meter types.
However, in order to fully realize the potential of a dynamic tariff through intelligent consumption, a smart meter is required. You can easily apply for installation via Zendure.
A smart meter records your electricity consumption in 15-minute intervals and automatically transmits the data to us as your electricity supplier. This allows us to see when you deliberately consume more electricity in quarter-hour periods with cheap or negative exchange electricity prices, and bill you precisely in 15-minute increments. That means: you benefit максимально from your automatic consumption optimization with ZENKI.
If you do not have a smart meter, we do not have quarter-hour consumption data available. So that you can still benefit from the dynamic exchange prices and be billed transparently, in this case we work with monthly advance payments. At the start of the contract, we then collect the calculated monthly amount (see contract confirmation).
For the calculation, we distribute your consumption across the individual quarter-hours using the recognized standard load profile of the Federal Network Agency and offset these values against the respective applicable exchange electricity prices (plus taxes and levies). This produces your expected monthly price and therefore your advance payment.

If you enter a meter reading in the customer portal, you will receive an invoice at the end of the month. We then directly reconcile your advance payment with your actual consumption. So you either receive a credit or you pay the difference.
If you do not submit a meter reading, we collect monthly advance payments. At the latest after 12 months, you will receive your final annual statement, in which we reconcile the paid advance payments with your actual consumption.
